Provincial Building Trades Courses

Known as the Provincial Building Trades, PBCTCO is a federation of 18 labour unions and stakeholders that provide skilled labour to construction employers across Ontario. Constructionlab has been contracted to assist with deploying 2 new courses for the organization.

After The Tools is a unique upskilling program designed to assist anyone who wishes to transition from the field to the office and stay in a construction role or start a new business.   In fact, even if you are already in management of construction projects, After The Tools can work for you.

In response to an RFP to create and deliver a province-wide labour relations course focused on ICI construction, we have been engaged to design, develop and deliver an in-depth 21 hour in-class course for union and management representatives, labour leaders and bargaining agents. 

At the request of the Sault Ste. Marie Construction Association, we are engaged for the 2022 round of collective bargaining of ICI agreements with CDC, LiUNA, Operating Engineers and Plumbers and Pipe Fitters.

At the request of the Construction and Design Alliance of Ontario, this publication is being developed for the federation of associations that lead best practices in contracting and professional design.   The mandate of the project is to create an Ontario public and private procurement best practices guide.

A customized 2-day construction industry workshop created for Sault Ste Marie Construction Association and Sault Career Centre as part of the 8-week Build This City program.   This program was developed in partnership with the Skills Advance Ontario and the Government of Canada and will host 5 cohorts by 2022.

Created to assist leaders of mixed trade construction associations be effective quickly, this easy to understand compilation of knowledge assists executives in navigating the complex world of construction as part of the support services offered to members of their associations.

At the request of Confederation College, Constructionlab built a 10-day and an 18-day curriculum for delivery in FN communities throughout northern Ontario.   Delivered September to December 2020 on-site in Aroland and Henvey Inlet Ontario, this program was attended by community members seeking a career in trades.
