Our policy is adopted from the Construction and Design Educators Council of Canada - A Guide to Course Cancellations. Registrants who cancel 5 business days prior to the first module of any course start time/date, will receive an 80% refund. Canceling 4 or less business days in advance of the first module of any course start time/date, will result in a refund of 50%.
Failure to fully attend all modules as described and as scheduled for the course will result in non-completion and no certificate of completion will be issued. No exceptions. Constructionlab reserves the right to reschedule or defer courses that fail to meet 50% registrations as posted by the "seat maximum" in each course description.
When courses are deferred, by Constructionlab, and you cannot attend due to other scheduling commitments, a 100% refund or option to defer seat to next session will be made to each registrant the day of the course start.
VIRTUAL CHALK platform is powered by ZOOM. If you are familiar with ZOOM, and the controls that are needed to operate a ZOOM meeting, it operates identically, but we do deploy enhanced features.

Constructionlab Ltd. encourages that each attendee ensure they have an active webcam and an active microphone when registered for On-Line LIVE courses. Our platform permits a test of a webcam and microphone in advance of entering the course. We encourage you to log on to your course and test your equipment prior to joining the course (5 to 10 minutes beforehand). While testing your equipment, you may also examine the tools on-screen that you have available to toggle microphone, video and chat features.
In order for instructors and facilitators to effectively run the course, and for you to interact with your colleagues attending the course, we strongly encourage that you use your webcam and have your microphone available and operable for the entire duration of the course, except when on scheduled break. Failure to do so may result in a facilitator, or instructor being unable to determine your consistent presence for the duration of the course. It may result in non-completion. It also may be perceived by your colleagues in the course, that you are not present.
While it is encouraged that you wear comfortable clothing and seat yourself comfortably, it is important to keep in mind that you will be on-screen. Suitable business-like surroundings and reasonable light levels are encouraged to the extent possible. Additional considerations include keeping your camera at about eye level, lighting sources should be from the top or in front of you, not behind if possible. If you desire to exit momentarily, you should turn off your camera/video.
Should you have technical difficulties, and unexpectedly exit the course, it is encouraged that you log on again as soon as possible, to ensure that you can complete the course. If you are placed into a waiting room, be patient, the instructor or facilitator may elect to wait until the next reasonable moment in the course, for you to re-enter. Most often, the delay for re-entering through a waiting room can occur if the course is engaged in a video or during a break out room session.
